Often wonder what is your face shape. It can be a bit of a problem if you are unsure what face shape you belong to. This is especially so when you want to contour your face with makeup, get a pair of glasses, or choose a hairstyle that flatters. Knowing what shape is your face can help you in the right direction. There is round, oval, square, rectangular, diamond, triangular, and heart face shapes. Some people may have a unique combination of two different shapes.
In order to figure out the face shape, get ready a measuring tape, a mirror and something to record your measurements.
Measuring your face

Square or Rectangular Shape
Square and rectangular face shapes also have similar measurements on the forehead, jawline, and cheekbone. Square and rectangular face shapes often have an angular appearance. The length of the square face shape matches closely with the widest part of the face. As for a rectangular face, its length is greater than the width.
Triangular Shape Face
A triangular face has a narrow, tapered chin. Its forehead is wider and is almost similar to a diamond face. One unique feature that sets that triangular face apart is the cheekbone width. It sits somewhere between the measurements of the forehead and chin.

Heart Shape Face
The feature that distinguishes between the heart shape and diamond shape faces is the hairline. A heart face is the widest at the cheekbones and the narrowest at the chin.
